OK Ethiopian Association Ethiopian Association in the Greater Toronto Area and Surrounding Regions is non-political, independent, non-profit, community-based organization that provides settlement and social services to people of Ethiopian origin and others since November 1980. The Association's programs and services are provided without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, political affiliation, creed, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation, gender, physical or mental disability. The Association is committed to facilitate the full participation of all persons of Ethiopian origin in the social, and civic life of Canada, cultural, and to the preservation and promotion of their rich and diverse cultural heritage. After its incorporation as a Not-for-Profit and Charitable Organization in 1981, diversified its work-forces, it has greatly expanded its programs and services, and enhanced its outreach activities. At present, 000 to 50, it is estimated that the Association represents 45, 000people of Ethiopian origin in the Greater Toronto Area and Surrounding Regions.
